3 Pull the knife command towards you beginning with base and going all the way to the tip of the blade. Use a bowing motion to completely engage the knife to the sharpening steel. You will repeat the forward also backward action at least three times. Do not do it more than 5 times or you will make your blade brittle.
4 Sharpen the other side regarding the blade. Employ the same 15 degree angle plus bowing motion. Execute not surpass five repetitions on this side either.
5 Clean the knife blade after sharpening. Use a scouring pad to clean also water to rinse off any metal particles. Waterless knife completely prior to storing.
Tips & Cautions
Whilst you are sharpening a high quality knife for example all Chicago cutlery blade, it is significant not to tolerate down too tough or you can closure up hurting yourself if the knife slips. Be cautious when you are sharpening any knife. Hold the steel plus the knife decisively and keep fingers away from the blade.
